Interclean Amsterdam Innovation Award 2018

This year’s awards event has seen a bunch of categories grow from three to four, adapting to the ever-changing nature of innovation in the professional cleaning and hygiene industry. There are three shortlisted nominees in each category – including Management & Mobility Solutions/E-Cleaning, Equipment, Machines, and Related Products/ Services.

The overall winner of the Amsterdam Innovation Award – and the four category winners – will be announced at a special ceremony at Interclean Amsterdam 2018 on Tuesday 15 May. The jury of the 12th edition of Interclean Amsterdam Innovation Award has released its shortlist of nominees.

Many of the shortlisted nominees by category are a world-first in their field and represent a significant leap forward for technology in the professional cleaning and hygiene industry.

The jury includes Michelle Marshall, Chair of the Amsterdam Innovation Award jury and Chief Editor of European Cleaning Journal. Joining her are Pierre Deschamps, Chief Editor of Batiment Entretien magazine based in France; Dick van Zomeren, industry expert and Editor of Service Management magazine in the Netherlands; Rob Geissler, Publisher of Sanitary Maintenance and Facility Cleaning Decisions in the US; Ton van der Riet, Managing Director of Senzora in the Netherlands; Reinhard Knittler, Publisher of Reinigungs Markt magazine in Germany; Cor van der Velden, Chief Expert at Skills Netherlands; and Antonio Borreda, Director of Revista Limpiezas in Spain.

The shortlisted products will be on display throughout Interclean Amsterdam 2018 in the InnovationLAB (Hall 8). Designed to showcase the latest innovations in cleaning products, services, concepts and ideas, it is an appropriate setting to highlight this year’s nominees.

“We are excited to once again share the most innovative products and solutions with visitors to our InnovationLAB, said Rob den Hertog, Director of Professional Cleaning & Hygiene at Interclean Amsterdam. “Innovation is what drives the professional cleaning and hygiene industry forward, and has always been a vital element of Interclean. We look forward to seeing which nominee emerges as the winner of this year’s Amsterdam Innovation award.”
