Debtosh Chatterjee, Managing Director & CEO of Chatterjee Cleaning Arts recently received Star CEO Award in the small category (revenues less than र50 crore) in the recently held Business Today SME Survey & Awards 2011. The awardees were short listed from over 280,000 SMEs with turnovers less than `200 crore

Speaking to Clean India Journal Debtosh said, “Even though Cleaning Industry is one of the largest employment generating sectors, it is not well recognised or developed like the steel, automobile or infrastructure sectors. I feel very proud in receiving this award because our (cleaning) industry has not been getting the right place.” Today Debtosh has 6,500 staff with a revenue of र39 crore in 2010/11. His clients include Aditya Birla Retail, Pantaloons and Big Bazaar.
