Rodent Attack

Rats traveled alongside the passengers of the Rapti Sagar Express 12511 up on 16 September and created quite a nuisance by chewing of the wiring connecting the air-conditioners and biting passengers on one of the coaches. This caused delay in the train’s schedule departure. The RPF after being informed about the rodents, failed to catch them. Though the necessary repairs were conducted, after the train departed the rats made an appearance and replayed the whole episode by biting passengers and chewing off wires. It was only after reaching Gonda station did a team from the railway hospital attended the injured passengers. The RPF too managed to get rid of the rats.
